Pavel Provazník (* 1986 v Havlíčkově Brodě) - Z cyklu Torsa (2015–2022)
Pavel Provazník ve své tvorbě rozvíjí figurální témata. V návaznosti na starověkou tradici zobrazování lidského těla, jej zajímá možnost stylizace a abstrahování výchozího motivu, přičemž zdůrazňuje napětí mezi jasně artikulovanou formou a naznačeným tvarem, tvrdě „řezaným“ prvkem a volně modelovaným měkkým tvarem, mezi plným a prázdným prostorem. V souboru velkoformátových betonových reliéfů Z cyklu Torsa (2015–2022) Provazník svobodně propojil antropomorfické tvarosloví s přírodními formami odvozenými z krajiny, čímž dospěl k vzájemnému prolnutí lidského těla se strukturami přírody.
V posledních letech se Provazník soustředí také na téma lidské hlavy. V betonových nadživotních sochách Dva kustodi (2022–2023) zvolil cestu radikální schematizace tvaru, která jej přivedla až na pomezí archetypálního symbolu. V jeho rámci však autor nesklouzl k odlidštěnému vizuálnímu znaku, ale zakódoval zde vnitřní klíč k čtení lidské individuálnosti. Tvarovou deformací totiž reflektoval schopnost mimiky, tedy pohybu svalů v obličeji, kdy se náš výraz dočasně změní podle aktuální emoce a nálady. A v tomto přístupu dospěl ještě dále, neboť optickou měkkostí celkového obrysu sochy poukázal i na faktory zodpovědné za stálý proces pozvolné proměny naší podoby, tedy na fyzickou smrtelnost, ale také na silný potenciál duševní a duchovní transformace.
Pavel Provazník studoval v ateliéru prof. Jana Hendrycha v letech 2009–2015. Žije a pracuje v Praze.

Pavel Provazník develops in his work figurative themes. Following the ancient tradition of depicting the human body, he is interested in the possibility of stylizing and abstracting the initial motif, emphasizing the tension between a clearly articulated form and an implied shape, a hard-"cut" element and a freely modeled soft shape, between a full and empty space. In his series of large-scale concrete reliefs from the Torsos series (2015-2022), Provaznik combined anthropomorphic morphology with natural forms derived from the landscape, arriving at the merging of the human body and the structures of nature.
In the last few years, Provazník has also focused on the subject of the human head. In his larger-than-life concrete statues Two Custodians (2022-2023), he chose the path of radical schematization of form which brought him close to the archetypal symbol. However, within this framework, the artist did not slip into a dehumanized visual sign but encoded an inner key to reading human individuality. In the shape deformation he captured the potential of facial expression, the movement of muscles in the face when our expression temporarily changes according to the current emotion and mood. And in this approach he went even further, for by the optical softness of the overall outline of the sculpture he also pointed to the factors responsible for the constant process of gradual transformation of our form, i.e. physical mortality, as well as to the powerful potential for mental and spiritual transformation.
Pavel Provazník studied in the studio of Prof. Jan Hendrych in 2009-2015. He lives and works in Prague.
