Jan Hendrych (* 1936 v Praze) - Ležící I, II (1981–2022)
Ve dvojici ženských figur Ležící I, II (1981–2022) provedených v pískovci Hendrych uplatnil zejména velkorysé pojetí sochy a kompaktnost celkové kompozice. Proces modelování zde nahradil skulptivním odebíráním hmoty dlátem a bruskou. Díky tomu tato horizontální lehce zvlněná a téměř architektonicky provázaná forma těla nabyla na živosti, kterou sochař ještě umocnil detailem ostře vykrouženého oka.

In the pair of female statues Reclining Figure I, II (1981-2022) executed in sandstone, Hendrych applied, in particular, the generous concept of sculpture and the compactness of the overall composition. He replaced the modelling process with the sculptural removal of the material with a chisel and a grinder. As a result, this horizontal, slightly undulating and almost architecturally coherent form of the body acquired a liveliness enhanced by the detail of the sharply outlined eye.
